Adrian Mackenzie

Director
Chartered Financial Planner

I joined in 2004 and have worked in financial services since 1985. I joined from a more corporate background, as I wanted to work with a firm that offers a professional, but personal service. My primary role is to help our clients with their financial planning. In addition I act as Director of the company and lead our Investment Strategy Committee. I am qualified as a Fellow and Chartered Financial Planner. This high level of qualification enables me to help our clients with some of the more complex financial decisions they are faced with.

Sara Henderson

Office Manager & Personal Assistant to Adrian Mackenzie

I joined Whitings Wealth Management Ltd in 2003 to become their office manager and have worked in financial services since 1994. I hold the Financial Planning Certificate 1 qualification and have built on this with over 20 years practical experience within this profession. My main objective is to keep a smooth running of our administration team and our back office systems, so we have to hand any information at a touch of a button should our clients have any queries, therefore providing a professional service to our valued clients.

James Gaston

Chartered Financial Planner

I joined Whitings Wealth Management Ltd in 2008 and have been an adviser to clients since 1998. I have achieved the CII's premier qualification in being a Fellow and Chartered Financial Planner which enables me to assist our clients with their detailed financial planning needs. In my role I provide bespoke professional advice on investments, wealth management, life assurance and retirement planning.

When I joined in May 2022 I was completely new to the world of financial planning, coming from a background of Armed Forces and Healthcare. However, my life experiences within those roles have moulded me into a person that strives for the best in everything I do. Building strong, trustworthy bonds with clients is something that I am passionate about and therefore, I look forward to a long and fruitful career making sure that our clients receive the best service that we as a team here at Whitings Wealth Management Ltd can offer.

Richard Franks

Senior Financial Planner

I have been part of Financial Services all my working life since first qualifying as a Financial Planner in 1999. I have always focused on building and growing a close working relationship, not only with my clients, but also their families to make sure all their goals are met. This is the part of the job I love the most. My background has been over the last 15 years within the Corporate and Private Bank setting dealing with High Net Worth clients in a range of bespoke solutions. Although I have only recently joined the team here, the drive for me has always been to keep a professional, but personal connection with my clients and I feel joining a firm that also believes this should be the main focus, will allow me to continue to grow with my clients. I look forward to building long term relationships with new and existing clients. You will find me at either the St Ives, St Neots or Ely office locations.

Tracey Murray

Personal Assistant to Richard Franks

I was delighted to join the team in February 2024 when client investments, pensions and protection plans originally serviced by my former employer transferred to Whitings Wealth Management Ltd. My role includes attending to our transferred clients' administrative needs in an accommodating and efficient manner both during the transition period and the years beyond. I hope to maintain strong connections with familiar clients and develop positive and professional relationships with the firm's many other valued clients. I have worked in financial services since 1989 and obtained the Financial Planning Certificate qualification in 2002.

Andrew Symonds

Research Analyst

I have worked in financial services since 1999 and joined Whitings Wealth Management Ltd in 2007. I hold the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. Supporting our financial planners in preparing efficient financial solutions for our individual and corporate clients, my role demands an in-depth knowledge of the ever-changing regulatory, technical and taxation framework that directs our industry. I also prepare bespoke financial planning reports for our clients, which formally confirms the basis of our clients' discussions with their financial planners and any recommended solutions. My aim is to make reports straightforward, legible and jargon-free.

Matt Ogden

Apprentice Research Analyst

I joined Whitings Wealth Management Ltd in 2021 upon completing my 2:1 degree in accounting and finance from Sheffield Hallam University. I previously worked at Whitings during my placement year whilst completing my degree and decided I wanted to develop my career focusing on helping people through financial planning. I am currently completing my Level 4 financial planning studies alongside learning how administrators, paraplanners and advisors operate. My current role is ever-changing from answering the phones to helping support advisers and paraplanners.
